TAIPING: Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Kampung Pasir Puteh, Ipoh emerged as the winner at the Rukun Negara Sketch Competition 2023 at the Perak state level held at Taiping Mall.
First place brings cash prize of RM2,000, a certificate and a plaque.
With the win, SMK Kampung Pasir Puteh will represent the state of Perak at the national competition in October.
SMK Tronoh, Kampar and SMK King Edward VII, Larut Matang and Selama were in second and third place with cash prizes of RM1,500 and RM1,000.
Three other schools that also advanced to the finals received a consolation prize of RM500 each, SMK Sultan Abdul Aziz (Hilir Perak), SMK Lambor Kiri (Perak Tengah) and SMK Mudzaffar Shah (Kerian).
The Rukun Negara 2023 sketch competition at the Perak state level, which was organized in conjunction with this independence month celebration, saw six schools competing on the final stage.
It is organized by the Jabatan Penerangan Negeri Perak in collaboration with the Pejabat Pendidikan Negeri Perak.
Earlier, the closing ceremony of the program and presentation of prizes was completed by the Chairman of the Perak State Communications, Multimedia and NGO Committee, Mohd Azlan Helmi.
Also present was the JPN Perak Director, Mohd Rizal Hashim.
