IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) together with the communications provider company, XOX Berhad are working together to explore strategic cooperation in several areas.
Among them is improving the standard of public transport through digital electronic applications and other services provided by MBI for Ipoh City.
This includes the upgrading and improvement of all ‘Digital Out of Home’ media facilities as well as the establishment of a digital advertising network.
Also explored is the proposal to add electric vehicle charging stations in strategic locations.
The Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin said, the MoU is an extension of the formalization of strategic technology sharing.
According to him, this collaboration is to increase tourism, business investment and improve the collective lifestyle.
“Based on recent discussions, the desired technology collaboration between MBI and XOX is to improve the current infrastructure and services.
“XOX as a strategic technology partner to MBI will help in upgrading, improving and expanding all digital facilities,” he said.
This collaboration is also to promote tourism, investment, business, and improving the collective lifestyle of local residents and visitors to the city of Ipoh.
