TAIPING – The Perak Museum invites the public to attend a Museum Talk session: “Narrating the History of F-Team’s Struggle for the Nation.”
F-Team is a covert unit of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Special Branch established in 1971 to combat communist terrorist activities.
This team performed intelligence duties, including infiltrating as enemies to gather information before communist terrorist activities could be thwarted.
Hence, this talk session allows the community to gain a deeper understanding of the history of this unit and its contributions to national security.
The Museum Talk program will be conducted online via Facebook Live on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Official Facebook Page of Perak Museum Taiping.
The invited panelists include former Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dato’ Abdullah Abdul Hamid, a former Chief Officer of the F-Team PDRM, who will discuss the “History of the Formation and Organization of F-Team”.
The second panelist is former Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kamarudin Hashim, also a former Senior Officer of the F-Team, who will talk about the “Heroes’ Struggle Against the Malayan Communist Party”.
The session will be moderated by Nor Hisham Zulkiflee from the Malayan History and Perak Heritage Association.
