MANJUNG: The Perak State Military Support Committee (JAKPAW) for the first time organized ‘Project Pure Soul Environmental Sustainability 2023’ .
The project is based on the concept of love for the environment to always preserve and conserve the beauty of the environment.
The program started with the release of baby turtles by the Secretary of the Perak State Government, Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim who is also the Chairman of Perak State JAKPAW at the Turtle Conservation and Information Center, Pasir Panjang, Segari here recently.
A total of 29 baby turtles that are about three weeks old were released as early as 7 am.
The program continued with the planting of mangrove saplings in the Tanjung Burung Forest Reserve.
The planting of the saplings was started early by JAKPAW members of the State of Perak since September 22, 2023, which makes the total today of 700 oil mangrove saplings planted.
Next is the activity of planting Rhu Pantai saplings at Taman Eko Rimba, Pasir Panjang, Segari.
The organization of this program also proves the commitment of the state of Perak to reach the target of planting two million trees per year or 10 million trees for a period of five years until 2025 to support the 100 Million Tree Planting Campaign which started in 2021.
