IPOH: Route A021 Jalan Kubu Gajah-Sumpitan in the Larut Matang and Selama (LMS) district is completely closed to all vehicles for nine days starting Monday, September 25.
Chairman of the State Infrastructure, Energy, Water and Public Transport Committee, Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin informed that the temporary closure of the road was due to a landslide in the area.
“Be informed that the road on route A021 Jalan Kubu Gajah-Sumpitan in the LMS district is closed to all vehicles from Monday, September 25 at 10 am until Tuesday, October 3 at 11.59 pm.
“It is due to the occurrence of a landslide in the area. Road users involved can follow an alternative route to get to the location,” he said in a statement on Monday.
He added that the route must be closed to all traffic to ensure the safety of road users.
Therefore, he said, notification signs have been installed at the site to guide people who pass through it.
