Ipoh: Three participants from the ‘Miss Perak Tourism 2023’ competition, who are gearing up for the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2023, have garnered the attention of former Miss Malaysia Intercontinental 93/94, Rachelle Ng.
According to Rachelle Ng, who is also the Director of RNG Consultancy Sdn Bhd, they are committed to providing encouragement and support to emerging talents, especially the three winners of Miss Perak Tourism 2023.
“These three candidates are a commitment for us to help enhance their skills. We have organized intensive training sessions in various fields to boost their confidence for the more challenging national stage.
“They have received public speaking training by the renowned speaker Kt Pillai along with Mrs Global Tourism 2023, Sangeet Kaur, and hair training at the NG Hair Beauty Salon.
“They have also received training in catwalk and image consulting from RNG Consultancy. In addition, sports attire, shoes, gowns, and traditional costumes are sponsored by Swan Boutique, VIQ APPAREL, Notting Heels, Azer Concept, and the Department of Arts and Culture, Perak State (JKKN).
“They were also exposed to the latest makeup techniques sponsored by Mary Kay, led by Marketing Director Karen Ng,” she told Ipoh Echo during a press conference at the Mary Kay office today. She is also a former Miss Intercontinental 1994 TOP 5 (World Pageant).
The three Miss Perak Tourism 2023 titleholders will challenge participants from other states at the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2023, to be held at Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur from October 4 to 13, 2023.
They consist of Winner, Ceci Yong Jia Wen; 1st Runner-up, Chloe Loh Qiao Lin, and 2nd Runner-up, Ishika Kaur.
The grand finale of the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2023 will take place on October 13, 2023, and the winner will represent Malaysia at the Miss Tourism International, scheduled for November 2023 in Sabah.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Tourism Perak Management Berhad, Dato’ Mohd Kamil Dato Shafie said that the Miss Perak Tourism 2023 program is a prestigious event that can help promote the state of Perak in the tourism industry.
“The knowledge they have gained through today’s training is very useful in boosting their self-confidence because they are small ambassadors who will introduce the state of Perak at the national and international levels.
“Tourism Perak always provides full support to those who represent the image of Perak and directly promote the uniqueness of the traditions and culture of the state of Perak,” he said.
