IPOH – The residents of Ipoh will have an opportunity to get up close and personal with military equipment and assets on display during the celebration of the 68th Anniversary of the Second Infantry Brigade of Malaysia (2 Briged) tomorrow.
The event, held at MBI Ipoh Square, will run from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Among the exciting activities planned for the open day are a Fun Walk, a military exhibition, health check programs, archery competitions, and more.
This is an excellent opportunity for the people of Ipoh, especially the youth, to gain further insight into careers in the armed forces.
The open day will also provide the community with exposure to the responsibilities and roles of the military, particularly the 2nd Brigade, which has been stationed at Remilies Camp in Ipoh for over 50 years.
The establishment of the 2nd Brigade dates back to as early as 1955, particularly during the state of emergency, as part of efforts to counter the activities of the Malayan Communist Party (PKM) during its active period.
