IPOH: Many in the community are still unclear about the role and functions of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM), even though news about the agency is frequently reported in the media.
Therefore, the recent celebration of the 56th Anniversary of the MACC/SPRM on the premises of MACC Perak provided the public with an opportunity to get to know the MACC up close.
Director of MACC Perak, Ahmad Sabri Mohamed, stated that this open day event was an approach by MACC to engage with various segments of the community.
He mentioned that it also provided information related to corruption that transcends borders.
During the same program, a prevention message was conveyed through the Integrity Talk segment, which was conducted by the Deputy Director of MACC Perak Operations, Mustafa Kamal Ahmad.
Various activities were organized for children, school students, university students, and the local community, including coloring competitions, department exhibitions, and a quiz to get to know MACC.
There were also exhibitions of confiscated goods, charity sales, health check-ups, and much more.
Visitors were given the opportunity to visit the Cura Si Manjakini Gallery, the lock-up area, the parade room, and watch presentations about MACC’s work.
