300 joined the Perak Innoride 2023 Cycling Program

IPOH: A total of 300 individuals from various races and ages participated in the Perak Innoride 2023 Cycling Program, which took place at the Dataran Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here recently.

The Chairman of the State Higher Education, Youth, and Sports Committee, Khairudin Abu Hanipah, said that the program which was held for the first time, received an encouraging response.

“We can see that the response to this program has been very positive, with participants from various races and age groups attending today.

“This is the first time this event has been held, and for the coming year, we may discuss improvements in terms of the number of participants and distances, as today’s cycling route is only 12 kilometers and is considered short,” he said during a press conference after the cycling program.

Also present were the Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin; the Director of the Perak State Sports Council, Mazlan Mohamad, and the Deputy State Secretary for Corporate Affairs, Anita Amri.

He added that cycling programs like this provide health benefits.

“Programs like this serve as a platform to educate the public about the importance of exercise to ensure good health and fitness.

“Through cycling activities like this, it indirectly helps the people of Perak to adopt a healthy lifestyle and contribute to the success of the Perak Sejahtera 2030 agenda,” he said.

In a related development, the Perak Innoride 2023 Cycling Program, held in conjunction with the State-Level Innovation Day celebration in Perak, will be officially inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Perak on November 1.

In addition to the cycling program, various other activities have been organized to enhance the State-Level Innovation Day celebration in Perak 2023, including workshops for the preparation and enhancement of documentation for the New Horizon Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) of Perak State, as well as an Innovation Seminar and the New Horizon KIK Perak State Innovation Award Competition.
