LARUT: The Perak State Department of Agriculture launched the State-level Vegetable Eating Campaign in conjunction with the District-Level Farm Day in Larut Matang and Selama recently.
The Chairman of the State Committee for Rural Development, Agriculture, and Food Industry, Datuk Mohd Zolkafly Harun, stated that the campaign aims to encourage the people of Perak to make vegetables a mandatory part of their diet at all age levels.
“It also aims to boost the demand for vegetables in the market.
“We hope that this will help stabilize vegetable prices at the farm and retail levels, thereby contributing to the sustainability of farmers’ income,” he said in a statement here.
