IPOH: Two Perak media personnel achieved success by winning awards from the Ministry of Local Government and Housing (KPKT) for their respective assignments.
The accolades were presented at the KPKT Media Excellence Awards 2023 held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur last night.
RTM Perak journalist Nor Ain Abu Bakar successfully won the Sustainable Urban and Green Environment Coverage Award.
This was in relation to the special report on the Ipoh Smart City: Smart Traffic Light initiative by the Ipoh City Council (MBI).
A total of 10 categories were contested at the event, including the Best Housing Coverage Award, Best Local Authority (PBT) Coverage Award, and Best Solid Waste Management Coverage Award.
Winners in each of these categories took home a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize of RM3,000.
Meanwhile, BERNAMA Perak photographer Mohd Zulfadhli Zulkarnain secured the second place in the Best Photo Journalism Award.
He received a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize worth RM2,000.
The prizes were presented by the Minister of Local Government and Housing, Nga Kor Ming.
