SERI ISKANDAR: Awareness of commercial crimes, especially online scams, is crucial to prevent more individuals from falling victim to such schemes.
In light of this, the Central Perak District Police Headquarters (IPD) collaborated with students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Perak Branch to organize a Forum on Commercial Crimes vs Scammers.
The event was facilitated by the Commercial Crime Investigation Division of Central Perak District Police Headquarters.
The program was attended by members of the Central Perak District Police, along with 1,000 students from UiTM Seri Iskandar and UiTM Tapah.
The forum covered various aspects of commercial crimes, online scams, and statistics on online fraud victims, particularly among students. The discussion also highlighted common types of online scams prevalent in the Perak region, specifically in the Central Perak area, and provided tips for preventing online crime.
This initiative aims to raise awareness and provide the latest insights and prevention tips regarding current trends in online fraud directly to the student community.
