IPOH: Less than 24 hours after it was cleaned and warning signs were placed, the garbage was once again dumped on the roadside that was previously used as an illegal dumping site
Located on Pengkalan 2 Street near Taman Pengkalan Jaya and a gas station, it seems to be favoured by irresponsible waste dumpers.
Merely five meters away lies the office of the Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timor and the State Assemblyman for Tebing Tinggi.
The residents’ careless attitude of disposing their household waste on the roadside is highly regrettable.
Considering its location near the Member of Parliament’s office and being a busy road for daily vehicle traffic, this undoubtedly creates a negative impression.
Simultaneously, the efforts of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) promoting the slogan “Ipoh, a Green City” face challenges if urban residents continue to be illegal waste dumpers.
