IPOH: Continuous heavy rain for over two hours resulted in flash floods, affecting at least 40 homes due to a storm in several areas in Meru yesterday.
It is estimated that over 60 homes suffered roof damage in the storm incident at Taman Meru 2C, Meru Raya.
This includes residences along Persiaran Taman Meru 22, 24, 26, and 30.
The Tambun Parliamentary Service Center, in collaboration with the Malaysian Islamic Youth Movement (Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia – ABIM), is actively mobilizing assistance by delivering food to the storm victims a while ago.
A coordination meeting was also held with the agencies of the Kinta District and Land Office, police, the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, the Civil Defense Force of Malaysia, and several related agencies.
This is to coordinate assistance and establish temporary placement centres.
