Ipoh: The Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin@Md Daud, extended assistance to 99 retirees and their heirs during the Appreciation Ceremony recently.
He expressed that the Ipoh City Council (MBI) regarded the retirement of its staff as a significant loss that would be challenging to replace.
“The MBI mourns the departure of experienced and dedicated officers and staff who have tirelessly dedicated their services to MBI and the city of Ipoh.
“Their contributions have indirectly helped enhance MBI’s reputation, both nationally and internationally.
“Undoubtedly, the contributions and efforts of these retirees will be remembered, and the friendships forged during their service will not end here but will continue to endure,” he stated in his address at the Jasamu Dikenang 2022 (Appreciation Ceremony) held at Hotel Casuarina Meru recently.
Present at the event were the WHIP Chief of MBI, Dato’ Mazlan Abd Rahman, and the City Secretary, Ahmad Munir Ishak.
Simultaneously, Rumaizi hoped that the retirees would not forget MBI even after retirement.
“We hope that retirees will continue to contribute to improving MBI’s image and ensure that their experience is not wasted in vain,” he said.
