IPOH: Tourism Perak Management Berhad (TPMB) launches ‘Tourism Voucher #PromisingPerak’ as a new initiative to further boost Visit Perak 2024.
This special incentive in the form of tourism vouchers is implemented as an encouragement and promotion to strengthen the tourism sector in the state of Perak
A total of 3,920 vouchers are offered for initiatives that will commence from February 1 2024 to January 31, 2025
Chairman of the Investment, Industry, Tourism, and Corridor Development Committee of the state of Perak, Loh Sze Yee, said that the voucher with an initial cost of RM350,000 involves 65 players in the tourism industry.
“Those involved include players in the hospitality sector, budget hotels, and tourist products, which will facilitate the redemption of this voucher by tourists visiting the state of Perak.
“We hope this will help further promote Perak as a tourism destination,” he stated during a press conference after launching the voucher at Warung Theater @ Cathay on Friday.
Meanwhile, Executive Officer of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa, stated that ten hotels under the Malaysian Budget and Business Hotel Association (MyBHA) are listed to receive relevant vouchers.
” ‘First come first serve,’ tourists arriving at these hotels will be able to redeem the vouchers.
“Additionally, through travel agents, when tourists purchase a three-day and two-night package, they are entitled for a discount of RM130 through 20 selected agents.
“Furthermore, a RM30 voucher is provided for product operators, such as Kellie’s Castle, Tingkat Valley, and others, with products listed by their respective Local Authorities (PBT),” she said.
