BAGAN SERAI: A five-year-old girl died while three others were injured after the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a car on Jalan Alor Pongsu Kampung Matang Jelutong, here last night.
Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Deputy Director of Operations for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), stated that due to a rear-end collision, the motorcycle carrying the 4 victims, veered off the road into a drain.
He mentioned that the Bagan Serai Fire and Rescue Station received information about the incident at 9:41 pm.
“Upon arrival at the scene, our personnel found all victims had already been taken by ambulances to Parit Buntar Hospital, while the adult woman was transported by the Fire and Rescue Emergency Medical Service (EMRS) to the same hospital.
“The incident involved a Proton Persona car driven by a man, which collided with the rear of a motorcycle.
“The motorcycle, carrying a woman and three passengers, skidded into the drain.
“The four victims include a 32-year-old woman, a 14-year-old teenage boy, a seven-year-old boy, and a five-year-old girl,” he said last night.
He added that they were informed that the five-year-old girl had tragically passed away at the hospital.
