Perak Police conduct Ops Lancar to ensure safety during Chinese New Year

MANJUNG: Perak Police will conduct Ops Lancar in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration from February 8 to 9 and February 12 to 13 to ensure the safety of road users.

Perak Police Chief, Datuk Sri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said safety aspects are a priority including premises and residences while occupants return to their hometowns.

“The main focus of this operation is to ensure smooth traffic flow, minimize road accidents, and prevent crime during the festive season.

“It involves 89 officers and 526 members of the Perak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT),” he said.

He said this while launching a road safety awareness campaign for Chinese New Year 2024 at the Perak Police Level at the Lekir Toll Plaza, West Coast Expressway (WCE).

It is in collaboration with WCE and Lions Club Perak.

Present were the District Officer of Manjung, Toh Seri Bijaya Toh Seri Bijaya Leftenan Kolonel (B) Datuk Shaharudin Nazari and the CEO of WCE, Lyndon Alfred Felix.
