Malaysia Arulneri Thirukoottam Ipoh held a Deepavali get together for needy children in Buntong. P. Satgunam, President, Arulneri Thirukoottam said that they have been organising Deepavali party for the underprivileged for the past 30 years and this year 190 children from 13 homes had been invited. The children were given cash and goodie bags.
The children were entertained with traditional bharatha natyam dances and a special dance performance by students from Sekolah Semangat Maju, Kg, Tawas. Sekolah Semangat Maju is a special school for children with learning disabilities. The audience enjoyed their unique performance.
The children were feted with traditional Indian food.
