Last year’s event was a resounding success, despite a little rain. Ipoh folks didn’t let a few drops dampen their spirits for a joyous celebration of the Chinese New Year. But this year promises to be even bigger and better as the organisers usher in the Year of the Wood Dragon with style and culture.

Jalan Bijih Timah & Lorong Bijih Timah will be transformed into a bustling hub of activity. Colourful decorations and festive couplets will adorn the streets, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The air will be filled with the sounds of traditional Chinese music and the laughter of attendees. It’s a sight to behold and an experience they won’t want to miss out on.

For those who want to indulge in a sumptuous feast, seats are available for a sit-down dinner featuring an 8-course meal, with each dish representing a different dialect. Priced at RM90 per person, it’s an opportunity to savour delicious cuisine while mingling with friends and neighbours. And let’s not forget the unique experience of sharing a meal with 1200 people on a long, communal table. It’s a true spirit of community and togetherness that defines the city.

But even if attendees are not interested in dining, there’s still plenty to see and do at Everybody’s Birthday celebration. A huge stage has been set up where they can watch a spectacular lineup of performances, including dragon dances, drum performances, cultural dances, and more. Best of all, it’s free for everyone to enjoy!
