IPD Taiping champion of ‘Ujian Mara Lasak KP Hero Perak 2024’

IPOH: The Taiping District Police Headquarters (IPD) team have brought home honor by emerging as the champions in the ‘Ujian Mara Lasak KP Hero Perak 2024’ with a recorded time of 49 minutes and 40 seconds.

The second place was secured by a team from the Perak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) with a time of 50 minutes and 50 seconds, while the third place went to IPD Pengkalan Hulu.

Each with a recorded time of 50 minutes and 50 seconds, and 51 minutes and 35 seconds.

This Ujian Mara Lasak was participated by 16 teams, with one team comprised from the Perak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) and 15 teams from the Taiping District Police Headquarters (IPD).

Each team is accompanied by 15 individuals, comprising of officers and police members, tested for mental and physical endurance at the Markas Briged Utara Pasukan Gerakan Am, Ulu Kinta.

Participants are required to complete challenges covering a distance of 6.6 kilometers and shoot targets using M-16 rifles.

Earlier, the launching event was officiated by the Chief of Police in Perak, Datuk Sri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri.

This Ujian Mara Lasak marks the first time it has been organized by the Perak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK Perak).

Mohd Yusri also expressed his pride in the dedication and esprit de corps spirit exhibited by all participants, hoping that it can be applied in their field assignments.
