IPOH: Piles of illegal rubbish and poorly managed rubbish at the intersection of Jalan Queen in Pasir Pinji are a major problem for residents.
It is understood that the problem occurred in front of the premises at address No 1400 and premises No 1625 Jalan Queen.
A complainant and resident at the location highlighted that the longstanding issue of overgrown grass has yet to be addressed, with no apparent action taken thus far.
According to the resident, the tangled shrubs and garbage not only offend the eye but also pose risks of wild animal intrusion.
“The issue of illegal waste dumping and neglected foliage has persisted for quite some time.
“The workers from Puncak Emas Infra, the concessionaire, merely trim a few inches of grass on the road reserve, but they fail to monitor the situation at the site,” he told Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.
Furthermore, he lamented the exacerbating situation caused by individuals lacking civic consciousness and selfishly discarding waste at the site.
“Every day, irresponsible individuals dispose of illicit waste there. We hope that the Ipoh City Council (MBI) monitors these actions and takes decisive measures.
“Although MBI conducts waste collection every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the problem of illegal dumping has persisted for years,” he concluded.
