IPOH: Police are actively tracking three male suspects suspected of engaging in distributing cards for unlicensed money lending and online gambling activities at the Stadium Perak Ramadan Bazaar.
According to the Chief of Police of Perak, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, the activity’s occurrence was spread through recordings made on social media by one of the hawkers at the bazaar regarding the activity.
The investigation found that there were three men involved in distributing business cards for unlicensed money lending and online gambling activities since three days ago.
“On March 30, one of the bazaar traders at Oppa Zuzu Kitchen stall recorded the activities of these men.
“The 1.01-minute recording shows a man distributing business cards for unlicensed money lending and online gambling at every stall in the bazaar,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd Yusri added that they have interviewed the owner of the social media account ‘Oppa Zuzu Kitchen,’ known by the nickname ‘Oppa,’ regarding the incident.
“Details of the incident have been obtained and efforts to track down the suspected perpetrators are ongoing.
“So far, no police reports have been received from any party, and investigations are still ongoing,” he added.
