TAIPING: Around 450 people comprised of Hindu members of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) contingent from Perak, along with family members and surrounding community, attended a special prayer session in conjunction with the 217th Police Day commemoration, held at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Kamunting here recently.
The program was organised by the Religious and Cultural Committee of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Perak Contingent.
The event, held at 4:00 PM, commenced with a special prayer ceremony followed by traditional dance performances, contributions, and a dinner reception.
During the programme, a total of 21 children from the Vincent Divine Home orphanage in Taiping received donations.
Additionally, donations were given to the 7-year-old children of Perak State Police Contingent officers who are starting their schooling journey.
Donations were also provided to the families of Perak State Police Contingent officers who passed away in 2023/2024, in remembrance of their contributions and service to the police force.
