RIYADH: Collaboration and expanding to enhance and increase the reach of agricultural food products, ready-to-eat items, and frozen goods with new product innovations to Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and international halal markets.
In pursuit of this goal, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Perak SADC and Pak Tam Catering Sdn. Bhd. during the Halal Economic Leadership Forum (HELF) 2024 in Riyadh recently.
The MoU signing ceremony was represented by Perak SADC’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Yahanis Yahya, and Pak Tam Catering Sdn. Bhd.’s Chief Executive Officer, Muhammad Shazwan Ruslin, witnessed by Perak State Government.
Also present were the Chairman of Halal Development Corporation, Khairul Azwan Harun, and the Chairman of the Security Commission Malaysia, Datuk Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin.
Perak SADC in a statement, highlighted the importance of the MoU in exploring significant economic opportunities, including prospects for agricultural entrepreneurs and food product entrepreneurs in Malaysia, particularly in the state of Perak.
“As a state-owned company (GLC) spearheading agricultural development, Perak SADC is committed to expanding the potential in agricultural food products, ready-to-eat items, and frozen goods with new product innovations to international levels.
“For your information, Pak Tam Catering Sdn. Bhd. is a Bumiputera company engaged in catering and food services in Selangor and Perak states, and has taken steps to penetrate the Saudi Arabian market,” the statement said.
Furthermore, Pak Tam Catering Sdn. Bhd. currently operates 12 restaurant branches, including one in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
“In addition, Pak Tam also has a frozen food processing factory and ready-to-eat product facilities,” it added.
