IPOH : A total of 87 recipients, who are Perak born, received the Perak Creative Fund @ Port involving various fields of creativity that have been developed.
They are among the 141 applicants who applied for funding from the Perak Creative Fund @ Port totaling RM300,000.
These successful applications were based on the submitted proposal papers.
The fund’s disbursement ceremony was officiated by the Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
The Perak Creative Fund @ Port, introduced five years ago, serves as a form of financial support for local artists and creative entrepreneurs.
It aims to carry out projects based on culture, heritage, and local content.
It also serves a dual purpose strategy, assisting recipients in completing their projects and generating income.
This fund also highlights Perak’s strengths as a creative state with a talented lineup of practitioners.
The contributions of artists are crucial in enriching our state’s cultural ecosystem and heritage through understanding and skills.
By providing financial support, we hope to inspire the next generation of creators and encourage the production of quality artwork.
