Charity Horse Ride Event To Support Orphans Coming This Sunday

Junior Chambers International (JCI) Ipoh’s 520.1 Charity Ride will soon be trotting in. This charity event is organised by JCI Ipoh to raise funds for the Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Yatim & Miskin Yi Shan and Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Kasih Sayang Ipoh, so that they can provide better care for the orphans under their care. And of course, it will bring a day of fun and happy memories for the children at the event.
The event will be at the Iskandar Polo Club on May 19, from 9 am to 12 pm.
This event will have such activities as riding the horses, which will be limited to a certain number so as not to stress the horses. Showering the horses, who will surely appreciate the gesture given the soaring temperatures. Feeding the horses, and even a batik paint workshop. Refreshments will be provided in the morning, followed by a buffet lunch.
JCI Ipoh’s 520 programme was originally spearheaded by its former president, Wiliam Hong, who tragically passed away from a battle with cancer at just the age of 33. The current president, Jasmine Liew, has picked up the reins, and is determined to lead JCI Ipoh in bringing value to the community.
But one person does not make a community. Nor does just one organisation like JCI Ipoh. Instead, a group of sponsors have generously come together to help this worthy cause. With the Iskandar Polo Club sponsoring the venue, the biggest cash sponsors have been YEG, followed by Kawan Engineering Sdn. Bhd., RT Petroleum Sdn. Bhd., Carsifu, EnsMart, SL Software Solution Sdn. Bhd. and SmartRider. Their contributions are vital for the operations of the orphanages.
HAMI Ecofarms also sponsored 88 Japanese Muskmelons, which are sustainably grown right here in Ipoh by using seeds and techniques from places like Japan and Holland.
Refreshments and a lunch buffet will also be provided thanks to JJ Roll Sdn. Bhd. and Thai Food Recipe Restaurant. The fresh mini swiss rolls are not to be missed.
