LUMUT: More than 340 mangrove tree seeds were sown, while 20 mangrove saplings were planted in the Manjung Greening Initiative program at the Mangrove Forest Park, Lumut.

This program involved lecturers and 30 students from Ungku Omar Polytechnic (PUO) during the Enviroescape Tours 2.0 visit.

These students are pursuing the Green Technology Compliance course, focusing on technology and green practices towards ensuring environmental stability.

The program organized by the Department of Commerce Business Studies Diploma at PUO is led by lecturer Faliza Omar.

It received cooperation from the Environmental Activists Association (KUASA) and the Manjung Municipal Council.

The implementation of mangrove tree planting and seedling sowing of suitable species along riverbanks is a long-term development plan.

This is for the continuity of life, which is proven important for the socio-economic well-being and safety of coastal residents.

The objective of such programs is to provide exposure, education, and skills to students.

At the same time, it fosters public awareness of social responsibility regarding the importance of mangrove conservation.
