IPOH: 10,000 participants are expected to join the Leisure Cycling program in conjunction with the World Bicycle Day Celebration 2024 on July 14.
The Chairman of Perak Tourism, Industry, Investment, and Corridor Development, Loh Sze Yee, stated that the program, in collaboration with the Perak State Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation, Traditional Musical Instruments Arts Organization, and Cycledios, will be held simultaneously in six districts in the state.
“The organization of this leisure cycling program with the people and local community aligns with the Visit Perak Year 2024 to be celebrated alongside World Bicycle Day.

According to Loh, the program is fully supported by Tourism Perak, the Royal Malaysia Police, Tapah District Council, Taiping Municipal Council, Teluk Intan Municipal Council, Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council, Manjung Municipal Council, and Ipoh City Council.
“The State Education Department is a strategic partner for the program, alongside the private sector Marina Island, Pangkor,” he said.
