TELUK INTAN: Casual littering by the roadside have been successfully recorded and the actions of irresponsible individuals and enforcement officers conducting monitoring are preparing compounds against them
This is among the efforts of the Teluk Intan Municipal Council (MPTI) to address the practice of polluting public areas as an illegal dumping site in Kampung Cerah, Jalan Kampung Banjar.
The Community and Public Relations Division of the Teluk Intan Municipal Council stated that
the monitoring operation for illegal waste was carried out by enforcement officers dressed in plain clothes.
A compound has been issued to the owner of a van who disposed of business waste at the site during the operation.
It is understood that the illegal dumping site has been completely closed off last month, but this incident occurred in that area.
The Kampung Cerah area is outside the jurisdiction of MPTI’s operations, where MPTI only conducts work on a corporate social responsibility basis.
A compound of RM500 will be issued to individuals or companies who defy the directive.
