SUNGAI SIPUT: A man suffered serious injuries after the car he was driving collided with a container lorry on Jalan Rimba Panjang here today.
According to the Deputy Director of Operations for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, they received a call regarding the incident at 10:24 a.m.
Subsequently, personnel from the Sungai Siput Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene.
“The accident involved a container lorry colliding with a Proton Wira car.
“There was a male victim trapped in the driver’s seat inside the car.
“The lorry driver suffered minor injuries,” he said in a statement on Monday.
He added that the victim was later extricated from the vehicle and handed over to the personnel of the Malaysian Ministry of Health for further treatment.
