IPOH: A total of 80 students from SK Jalan Pegoh gained valuable experience during their participation in the Student Leadership Program organized by SK Jalan Pegoh on Pangkor Island.
They comprised student leaders from various levels, including school associations.
Accompanying these students were 10 academic staff from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Kampar Campus, in addition to 15 teachers.
The program coordinator, Afi Roshezry Abu Bakar, said this was a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project held almost every year by them.
A lecturer in Political Science at UTAR, he is also the Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of the school.
He said he personally thanked the academic staff of UTAR for their willingness to become facilitators in the leadership camp program.
“The objective of this program is to foster and train a sense of responsibility and trustworthiness among these young leaders.
“Through this extracurricular program, students can experience various activities, especially engaging in various group sessions with enthusiasm,” he said.
