Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau held their 2024 Luxury Awards in the halls of the Capella Hotel in Bangkok on June 13, where The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat brought prestige to Ipoh with the numerous recognitions thrown their way.
Presented alongside The Mall Group, the event was attended by prestigious hospitality leaders, including representatives from some of industry’s most celebrated brands, such as the Rosewood, Raffles, and Six Senses.
The awards span over 20 categories and 15 countries and territories, representing a broad spectrum of luxury travel in the Asia-Pacific region, with the highest vote-getters ranked in top-10 and top-5 lists.
It is one of the most prestigious international travel magazines around. From more than 200,000 votes via their online voting forum, and throughout January to March 2024, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat would emerge victorious under the category of Best Hotel Spas in Malaysia.
In addition, it was also recognised as Best Beach and Upcountry Resort Malaysia at number 6 and Best Hotel GM Malaysia at number 4.
A well deserved congratulations to Marc Groh, the general manager of The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat as well as all the staff and supporters whose excellence have not only won them awards and recognition, but are a credit to Ipoh’s image.
