Quest International University (QIU) is bringing back its education fair to the people of Perak—offering diverse learning opportunities and an invaluable glimpse of university life to the public.
The two-day long QIU-JPN Perak education fair will pitch up at SMJK Yuk Choy on 22 and 23 June, broadcasting the excellent study and career advancement opportunities available at the Ipoh-based university.
Organised in collaboration with the Perak Education Department (JPN), it will feature fun, insightful, and interactive activities that help attendees understand the different pathways available to them—regardless of their qualifications and career goals.
These activities are set to include exhibitions of virtual reality and drones, hydroponic and smart farming, pastry decoration, business and accounting quizzes, childhood education techniques, health screenings, and demonstrations of medical procedures like stitching, blood typing and venepuncture.
These hands-on activities reflect QIU’s commitment to experiential learning, where students are challenged to learn by doing—instead of obsessing over theoretical concepts.
At the same time, certificates of competency programmes are also available for school leavers who choose to join the workforce right after SPM. Academics and counsellors will be on hand to provide guidance on the wide range of options available.
Before the Ipoh leg, the education fair visited Bukit Mertajam, Penang and Sungai Petani, Kedah. After this weekend’s event, the fair will move to Taiping on 27 and 28 July, Seri Manjung on 10 and 11 August, and Teluk Intan on 23 and 24 August.
QIU Chief Operating Officer Nicholas Goh said the event aimed to empower the local youth by showcasing the diverse range of education options available to them.

There are preconceived notions that university education is boring and tough, when the reality is different. There are so many pathways to pursue your passion, and QIU’s dedication to experiential learning makes education fun.”
“Instead of waiting for them to visit us, we wanted to bring our campus to them. In addition to the activities, they have a rare opportunity to speak directly to our deans, professors, and counsellors. The aim is for them to be inspired and excited about their education choices, even if they have just entered secondary school. ”
