AKPK Empowers Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia Entrepreneurs

By AKPK

Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK) recently conducted a transformative one-day workshop series for entrepreneurs from Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM), held at the Rakan Muda Complex Kampar and UTC Ipoh on June 5th and 6th, 2024, respectively. These workshops attracted a total of 105 participants, demonstrating strong engagement and commitment to financial empowerment among AIM entrepreneurs.

The workshops focused on equipping participants with essential financial management skills using AKPK’s MyBijakNiaga toolkit. This online toolkit (https://mybijakniaga.akpk.org.my) is a free tool provided to ease business transaction recording, financial statement generation, cashflow projection and business health analysis. On top of that the workshop guided the entrepreneurs on cash flow management and developing a robust Business Model Canvas (BMC). Such knowledge is crucial for micro-entrepreneurs striving for sustainability and growth in their businesses.

AKPK’s tailored sessions emphasized the importance of sound financial practices and effective debt management strategies specific to small-scale enterprises. Participants gained valuable insights into budgeting, savings strategies, and maintaining a healthy credit profile, essential for long-term business success.

By collaborating with AIM and conducting these workshops, AKPK reaffirms its commitment to fostering financial literacy and enhancing the resilience of Malaysia’s micro-business sector. This initiative underscores AKPK’s role in empowering entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate financial challenges confidently.
