On July 27, 2024, at 7 pm, Taman Cempaka Community Hall will host an event that promises not just fun and camaraderie, but also a chance to support a deeply meaningful cause. The Dementia Society Perak, Dementia Café of Ipoh, and Santunan Kasih Perak are coming together to organise Ipoh’s first-ever Trivia Night. This is more than just a quiz – it’s a community movement to raise awareness about dementia.
Dementia affects many families in our community, yet it often remains in the shadows. This Trivia Night aims to shine a light on the challenges faced by those living with dementia and their caregivers. It’s an evening where we can all come together, have fun, and show our support.
The Trivia Night will feature teams of 10 competing in a friendly quiz. The questions will be multicultural and multilingual, reflecting the rich diversity of our community. In addition to the main trivia competition, there will be various fun contests between rounds. It’s an opportunity to enjoy a night out with friends and family, all while supporting a great cause.
Early sponsorship for this event comes from Mr. Simon Lam, a nurse practitioner from Australia, and Vinda Marketing Sdn. Bhd., who will be providing door gifts of Tena products. Their generosity highlights the importance of community involvement in this cause. Additional sponsors are welcome to join in making this event even more impactful.
