Teluk Intan – The Temasya Budaya @ Perak 2024 is expected to draw thousands of visitors. The event will be held at Dataran Menara Condong, Teluk Intan, from June 27 to June 30, 2024, running from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
The Director of JKKN Perak, Abd Rashid Abdullah, stated that the programme aims to highlight the diversity of arts, culture, heritage, and tourism in the state of Perak.
“This festival showcases the ethnic and cultural diversity, including traditional practices,” he said.
“It will also attract both local and international tourists to witness the cultural heritage and tourism offerings of the state up close,” he added.
Among the artists and cultural groups performing at the opening night are Dayang Nurfaizah, Budaya Tari JKKN Perak, Kumpulan Selendang Perak, Red Drumline, Sekolah Seni Malaysia Perak, Guna, Pei Yen, Nam Hoi Association Perak, Indian Cultural Arts Association Greentown Ipoh Perak, Black Baajh Banghra, and the Indigenous Cultural and Arts Association of Perak.
Additionally, the Perak Homestay Festival, agency exhibitions, vendor sales, and cultural arts clinics are among the main activities that will surely attract visitors.
However, the most anticipated event is the Busana Run, featuring traditional costumes from various ethnic groups.
According to Abd Rashid, various cultural arts activities such as lion dance, silambam, Malay silat, and Chinese calligraphy will captivate the audience.
“This four-day festival promises a unique and engaging experience, encompassing various aspects of arts and culture while fostering greater unity within the Madani community,” he remarked.
