TELUK INTAN: A man was injured and trapped after his vehicle skidded off the road and crashed into a ditch at Batu 5, Jalan Maharajalela, early this morning.
According to Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Assistant Director of Operations for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), the incident occurred around 1:16 AM.
He said that personnel from the Teluk Intan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were then dispatched to the scene.
“It was found that a Proton S70 car had skidded into the ditch, with the driver trapped inside.
The operations commander conducted a size-up and applied the SAVER concept to extricate the trapped driver.
“The victim was successfully rescued and handed over to the Ministry of Health for further action,” he said in a statement here today.
The operation, led by PBK I Abdul Hazhar Ismail, involved seven personnel and concluded at 1:55 AM.
