IPOH: Disgusting is the exact description of the situation in the alley behind the row of shops near Jalan Tasek Jaya, in Taman Tasek Jaya here.
Illegal dumps that nearly block the road in several areas mar the view.
Despite clear warning signs prohibiting dumping trash there, the careless and irresponsible behavior of some individuals is indeed frustrating.
The warning of a RM1,000 fine is also ignored, with trash being dumped right in front of the sign.
An inspection of the alley behind the row of shops near Jalan Tasek Jaya revealed numerous illegal dumps and spilled food waste piled along the road, despite the presence of warning signs.
This situation not only invites the risk of stray dogs but also poses health threats and dengue fever risks.
The public should show responsibility and care for their local area, rather than relying solely on local authorities (PBT) to collect indiscriminately discarded trash.
Although the trash may eventually be collected, the act of dumping it in such a manner is highly inappropriate.
It is hoped that the PBT will be stricter in imposing penalties and enforcement actions against the offenders, so that the city can be cleaner and face fewer issues with illegal dumping.
