Manjung IPD Disposes of RM1.5 Million Worth of Obsolete Evidence

MANJUNG: Various items of evidence valued at RM1.5 million, seized in the district over the past three years (2021 to 2023) and for which prosecution has been completed, have been disposed of.

The disposal took place at the Manjung District Police Headquarters (IPD) compound.

The items involved included 823 cartons of cigarettes of various brands, and 56 units of equipment, including mobile phones, from 30 gambling cases.

This disposal was carried out according to the scheduled guidelines under the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005.

The process was conducted by a licensed company registered with the Department of Environment and in accordance with the Inspector-General of Police Directive No. 184, Standard Operating Procedure for Op Letrik (Tenaga Nasional Berhad).

Previously, the disposal form was signed by the Manjung District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamed Nordin Abdullah; Seri Manjung Section Court Magistrate, Nurul Izalina Rajaai; and Perak Deputy Public Prosecutor, Mohd Hairol Jemain.
