Harmoni Flats in Buntong hosted a crucial health screening event for local residents. The Pemeriksaan Kesihatan PEKA B40 & i-SEHATI program, organised by KRT in collaboration with Klinik Dr. Nantha, Klinik Setia, and KPJ Ipoh, provided free medical check-ups to those aged 40 and above within the B40 income group.
Approximately 80 participants took advantage of the free screenings that were funded by government and PERKESO programs. This initiative was a significant effort to raise health awareness among those who might otherwise miss out on essential services.
Harmoni Flats is known for its commitment to resident support beyond health initiatives. The community runs the PWW Baking Studio, offering women from underprivileged backgrounds training in baking and entrepreneurship. They also launched Celik IT@Harmoni, a computer lab providing basic IT skills to children aged 10 to 14, aimed at bridging the digital divide and creating future opportunities.
Their recent Merdeka celebration further amplified their community spirit, drawing around 150 residents for a festive event supported by sponsored meals and groceries for underprivileged families.
Muhammad Faiz Abdullah, Chairman of the KRT PPR Taman Harmoni Buntong, expressed his pride in the community’s efforts, noting, “Our community’s dedication to supporting one another and creating opportunities for growth is what makes us stand out. From health programs to educational initiatives, we are focused on making a positive impact.”
Harmoni Flats exemplifies proactive community support, with their efforts in health, education, and celebration proving what can be achieved when people work together towards a common goal. This community in Buntong is setting a high standard for community spirit and collaboration.
