Perak’s largest property exposition, MAPEX Perak 2018 was back this year with the theme, “Innovation for Life and Living”.
Organised by Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (REHDA) Perak, the event was held from Friday, August 3 to Sunday, August 5 at the concourse of the Ipoh Parade shopping mall. The event was launched by Executive Councillor for Housing, Local Government, Public Transport, Non-Islamic Affairs and New Villages, Paul Yong Choo Kiong.
Malaysia Property Exposition (MAPEX) is regarded as the largest one-stop exhibition that brings convenience to those seeking to purchase or invest in property.
According to REHDA Perak chairman, Tony Khoo, MAPEX Perak 2018 was by far the largest and most successful. This was because the take-up rate by developers for the exhibition booths was 100 percent, as all 47 booths were rented out.
“MAPEX Perak 2018 is very special as Bumi MAPEX is also a part of the show,” said Khoo during the opening ceremony.
Bumi MAPEX has been a part of MAPEX since 2006 to help provide a sales platform for Bumiputera property developers and buyers.
A total of 40 developers showcased a wide range of innovative development projects and types at their designated booths. Some RM4 billion worth of properties were on display during the exhibition.
Several activities were organised to complement the exposition. They included lucky draws, cultural dances, cheerleading and brass band performances. Informative talk sessions by industry experts on topics such as property investments, feng shui and smart home systems were on the cards.
