Junior Chambers International (JCI) Ipoh have successfully run the Moonlight Fiesta held at SJK(C) Chung Tack, an event that’s been months in the making.
With scores of vendors having set up their stalls, plenty of interactive events to go around, and not to mention the freebies such as the deliciously chilled free coffee from Red Mountain Sin Yoon Loong or delectable samples of melon from HAMI Eco Farms, there was something for everybody, regardless of race or even age. There was even a petting zoo section, which reptile lovers would surely love.
There, you could visit the Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) booth for a free health check, get fresh vegetables at bargain prices and join in as the hall broke out into some Zumba dancing. Not to be missed was the unique combination of the Lantern Festival and the art of batik, to create the Batik Lantern, a conglomeration of cultures that bring all the races together.
But JCI Ipoh’s Moonlight Fiesta wasn’t all contained at just SJK(C) Chung Tack, as they had a community hunt in the morning that ran from Taman Canning Garden as well.
This year’s Moonlight Fiesta will surely be a blueprint for many more in the years to come, as JCI Ipoh continues its Return, to Rebuild and be Reborn.
