GOPENG – The basketball court at Arena Gopeng will finally be upgraded to enhance convenience and comfort for the local community.
According to Teja State Assemblywoman Sandrea Ng, the court has long been a popular spot for residents to play basketball, as well as for recreational and community activities.
“The project to upgrade the basketball court at Arena Gopeng has commenced.
“Thank you to the Village Chief of Rawa Baru, David Yong, and his team for their efforts in securing the allocation through the New Village Development Division.
“This is to improve the court facilities for the benefit of local residents,” she said.
She also added that there are plans to use the upgraded court for other sports activities.
“Moving forward, we also plan to utilise the court for other activities such as volleyball and netball. This is to encourage people from all backgrounds to engage in sports, recreation, and community activities,” she said.
She further explained that during the upgrade period, the basketball court will be temporarily closed for any activities.
“We urge everyone to be cautious and prioritise safety. We hope that once the upgrade is completed, the people of Gopeng will be able to enjoy better facilities,” she added.
