IPOH: Menteri Besar Incorporated (MB Inc Perak) participated in the ‘Taste of Malaysia’ Festival held in Hanoi, Vietnam, as part of efforts to promote Malaysia’s rich culture and traditions.
The week-long festival, curated by the Malaysian Embassy in Hanoi, was designed to showcase the diversity of Malaysian arts, heritage, culture, and cuisine.
Highlights of the event included Malaysian Batik fashion shows and a Malaysian Food Festival at select hotels across Hanoi.
The event attracted notable attendees, including senior Vietnamese government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and key stakeholders from Malaysia.
MB Inc Perak’s participation presented a golden opportunity to spotlight Perak’s renowned craftsmanship, particularly its batik. The event also served as a platform for establishing bilateral ties between Perak batik entrepreneurs and key players in Vietnam.
Visitors had the chance to witness the intricate and meticulous process of creating Perak’s distinctive batik while appreciating the aesthetic value embedded in each piece.
In addition to exhibiting a wide collection of Perak Batik, MB Inc Perak also hosted knowledge-sharing sessions on innovation and the development of the batik industry with the local community and artisans in Hanoi.
MB Inc Perak remains committed to exploring new opportunities to empower the state’s batik industry for mutual benefit.
