Get Ready for the Perak Contemporary Art Festival 2024

Art enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The 2024 Perak Contemporary Art Festival (PCAF) is blooming in Ipoh from October 5th to 18th at 22 Hale Street Heritage Gallery. This year’s theme, “The Garden,” promises a celebration of creativity that goes beyond exhibits—it’s an immersive experience you won’t want to miss!

“The Garden” symbolizes growth, beauty, and the nurturing of life, aligning perfectly with the Ipoh Fine Art Class’s mission to cultivate creative talent and foster artistic beauty. Attendees can expect nearly 100 artworks from 65 talented artists across Malaysia, featuring a rich variety of styles and mediums. The festival will display paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and installations, creating a visually engaging atmosphere.

Through their pieces, artists will delve into themes of nature and environmental preservation, as well as deeper concepts such as existence, transformation, growth, loss, discovery, adventure, and love. These ideals reflect the many facets of life and are sure to inspire all who visit.

Festival Highlights:-

On October 6th, dive into “Art for the Soul: Creative Masterclasses” from 10 AM to 5 PM. These workshops focus on hands-on creativity and mental health advocacy. Open to everyone, these masterclasses will guide you in using art as a tool for mindfulness and emotional exploration.

Additionally, October 12th and 13th will feature an Art Bazaar from 11 AM to 5 PM, with handmade goods from local artisans. From stylish crafts to one-of-a-kind artworks, this is your chance to take home something special while supporting the local art scene. Who doesn’t love a little retail therapy mixed with creativity?

Don’t miss the exciting digital exhibition “Seni VR,” launching during the opening ceremony, which allows global audiences to explore and engage with the festival’s diverse artworks online.
