PTA2024: Outstanding Recognition for Perak’s Tourism Industry Players

IPOH: The Perak Tourism Awards 2024 (PTA2024) was held in a vibrant atmosphere, witnessing the presentation of 46 awards to players in the state’s tourism industry.
The prestigious awards aims to recognize the achievements of individuals and agencies that contribute to the enhancement of the state’s tourism sector while appreciating innovation and creativity in enriching the tourist experience.
With the theme ‘Exploring the Beauty and Heritage of Perak,’ the event successfully brought together various representatives from the tourism sector, including hoteliers, travel agencies, tour guides, restaurant operators, and creative industry practitioners.
Among the award categories contested were Best Tourism Destination, Best Hotel Operator, Outstanding Tour Guide, and Eco-Friendly Tourism Initiative.
Pulau Pangkor was recognized as the Best Island Destination, while Royal Belum received the award for Best Ecotourism.
A total of 10 categories were contested, including accommodation, services, tourism products, and food.
Nominations for the awards were open online for two months and were available to all industry players or through third-party nominations.
Judging was conducted by a panel comprising industry practitioners, academics, and corporate sector representatives.
PTA2024 not only celebrated achievements but also served as a platform for industry players to exchange ideas, build networks, and plan for the future of tourism in Perak.
The event also demonstrated the commitment of both the state government and the private sector to advancing Perak as a competitive tourism destination on the global stage.
