MANJUNG: A fallen tree on the main road near the Ipoh-Lumut Highway, close to Ayer Tawar, caused a blockage today.
The tree obstructed both directions of the road, leading to traffic congestion.
According to Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Assistant Director of the Operations Division of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) in Perak, the incident occurred around 4:29 PM.
However, he stated that there were no victims involved.
In response, personnel from the Ayer Tawar Fire and Rescue Station and the Ayer Tawar Volunteer Fire Brigade used chainsaws and machetes to cut the branches and clear the tree from the roadway.
The operation was completed at 4:58 PM.
