IPOH: Several local issues previously raised by residents in the Hulu Kinta State Assembly (DUN) area have been successfully resolved.
One of the main concerns was the dangerous intersection at Kampung Cik Zainal in Chemor.
The Service Center for the Hulu Kinta Assemblyman had proposed the installation of traffic lights to the Public Works Department (JKR) two years ago.
However, the width of the road did not meet JKR’s requirements.
After considering the complaints raised again by residents, several actions have been taken.
The solution includes the immediate construction of four speed bumps, the installation of streetlights for better illumination, and conducting a traffic study.
This study aims to upgrade the A13 road junction at Kampung Cik Zainal to a traffic light intersection, which has recorded a high accident rate.
For long-term action, the installation of traffic lights is planned, as this will help reduce the accident rate at this intersection.
These efforts are part of the outreach program by Hulu Kinta Assemblyman, Muhamad Arafat Varisai Mahamad, in collaboration with the Service Center for the Tambun MP, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, JKR Kinta, Empayar Indera, and JPKK Kampung Cik Zainal.
In other developments, the Hulu Kinta Assemblyman’s Service Center has conducted a visit to another community project in the area under the Madani Government for this year.
Also present was the Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Chan Ming Kai.
With funding from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), the recreational area at the Sungai Pinji detention pond in Tanjung Rambutan will soon undergo improvements.
