MANJUNG: The Batik Ecoprint innovation from Manjung district was one of the highlights that attracted visitors when it was introduced at the 2024 World Tourism Day event at DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside.

The programme was organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam, and the Tourism Productivity Nexus (TPN).

Through this participation, the Batik Ecoprint innovation was introduced as a crucial step to promote special products from the Manjung district.

Batik Ecoprint not only showcases the beauty of local batik art but also supports environmental sustainability by using natural materials.

This is one of the best platforms to share knowledge and the uniqueness of Batik Ecoprint with the community, while also contributing to the development of sustainable tourism.

A heartfelt thank you to the UNDP for this valuable opportunity.

It is hoped that this programme will provide innovative ideas and opportunities to further stimulate the tourism sector in Manjung.

With strong cooperation among stakeholders, it can attract more tourists and strengthen the development of the tourism industry in this area.

Various initiatives and attractive tourism products can be highlighted to make Manjung a destination of choice.
